Planting design package
This package is suitable for someone who wants to redesign their existing borders or add new borders to their garden. Prices start at £600
Step 1
We come and visit you in the garden and discuss what it is you would like to achieve. We carry out an accurate survey of the borders to be redesigned and do a detailed assessment of soil samples, aspect, privacy, moisture levels, soil structure and sun and shade calculations. All of this information will be detailed in a site appraisal that you will receive along with the scaled survey drawing.
Step 2
We now have the information required to design your new borders. After the proper plant research has been carried out we will create 2 mood boards showing some examples of borders according to your likes and wants. Once we've narrowed down exactly what you're trying to achieve we will create a planting plan drawing which is a labelled, detailed drawing that shows what plants goes where. Another drawing will accompany this which shows how the planting will be viewed from eye level.
Step 3
Once the planting plan has been drawn we can then create your plant schedule and preliminary costings. The plant schedule is a list of all the plants included in the design and their individual numbers. This list will also include indicative costs. At this stage we can source the plants for you and *lay them out according to the design for planting, you can source the plants yourself and plant them or you can hire a gardener to plant them for you.
*Important to note: Sometimes we will ask you to hire an independent survey company if this site is very large or the topography requires it. We are happy to recommend. The indicative costs in the preliminary costings are as accurate as we can manage at the time of asking and may go up or down. If you would like us to lay out the plants an hourly rate of £35 is applied.
